Pornpraseart Yamazaki
Born and raised in Thailand by a Thai mother and a Japanese father (1973)

Yamazaki is known for his thought provoking, social critical, and satirical artwork. His art expression is never limited to any particular form or type of media. His experimental and creative nature allows him to present a body of work that is always fresh and original. Yamazaki earned M.F.A. from Silpakorn University, one of the most prestigious art institutions in Thailand. In 2000, he received a winner award of Vermont Studio Center in the US. In 2001, he was as award winner for the 13th Toshiba Arts Compeition, Thailand. (source)

World Wai Kru Muay Thai Ceremony

Today 17th March is the 10th World Wai Kru Muay Thai Ceremony. The event has been organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Professional Boxing Association of Thailand.

Wai Kru Ceremony is a sacred observance of the Thai Boxing in which the boxers manifest their gratitude to their teachers Muay Thai Masters in submission to the forbearing lessons.

Phra That Cho Hae Fair

Today 15th is the last day for the Thailand's fair Phra That Cho Hae placed in the Phrae Province.

The traditional event aims to wrap bright brass cloth around the pagoda of the sacred Buddhist temple Wat Phra That Cho Hae as symbol of holy respect as the pagoda protects holy relics of Buddha.

Makha Bucha Day

Chiang Mai Flower Festival

We are talking about The Chiang Mai Flower Festival that will be held from 7th to 9th February in this large and cultural place from the north of Thailand.

Known as the Rose of the North, this charming city held this flower festival every year on the first weekend of February bedding the streets with beautiful garments and colorful atmosphere.

The main shows are the Flower Festival Parade, the Miss Chiang Mai Flower Festival and the Lantern Festival.
